BATIQ BABES
Das in Köln ansässige Hyperjazz Trio Batiq Babes kombiniert elektronische Musik mit dem Spirit des Jazz, der Liebe zu Equipment und einem Hauch von Nerdtum. Stilistisch bewegen sich die drei Musiker zwischen HipHop, Trap, Jazz und House und spannen das musikalische Spektrum von atmosphärischen Klängen bis hin zu wilden Improvisationen. Die Band wurde in den frühen Tagen der Pandemie gegründet, um eine Grundlage für Klang- und Technologie-Experimente zu schaffen. Sie hat einen gemeinsamen Track mit dem japanischen Rapper 1-KYU herausgebracht und mehrere Musikvideos mit algorithmischen Visualisierungen produziert.

Stylistically, the three musicians move between hip-hop, trap, jazz and house, spanning the musical spectrum from atmospheric sounds to wild improvisations. The band was formed in the early days of the pandemic to create a foundation for sound and technology experimentation.
