Dog Soup wurde 2023 in Köln gegründet und versteht sich als kollektives „Meta-Instrument“. Die vier Musiker:innen entwickeln ihr Repertoire gemeinsam aus Komposition, grafischer Notation und freier Improvisation. So entsteht ein organischer, hochreaktiver Klangkörper mit langen Spannungsbögen, dichten Texturen und theatralischen Zuspitzungen. Ihre Musik bewegt sich zwischen zeitgenössischem Jazz, Neuer Musik und Performance.

Dog Soup was founded in Cologne in 2023 and sees itself as a collective “meta-instrument.” The four musicians develop their repertoire together from composition, graphic notation, and free improvisation. The result is an organic, highly reactive soundscape with long arcs of tension, dense textures, and theatrical climaxes. Their music moves between contemporary jazz, new music, and performance.
